Last month, the Polish Olympic Committee (Polski Komitet Olimpiski or PKOI) announced their intent to open Maison Polonaise, or Poland House, at Paris 2024.
What We Know: Location
Maison Polonaise will be located at Pavillon Royal, in Bois de Boulogne. This is the second-largest park in Paris, in the 16th arrondissement. In 1852, this land was turned over to the city of Paris by the Emperor Napoleon III and was transformed into Bois de Boulogne.
Le Pavillon Royal was originally built in 1857 as a modest chalet selling lemonade and ice cream. In 1935, it underwent renovations to add a second story and veranda, transforming it into dining establishment. Today, Pavillon Royal is used as a modern event and exhibition space, achieving an eco-responsible designation in 2017.
Bois de Boulogne will also be home to Casa Italia at Paris 2024.

What We Know: It's Poland's First Hospitality House
Digging into the history books, it's notable that this is Poland's first-ever Hospitality House.
Paris 2024 also coincides with an important anniversary for the Polish Olympic Committee: it was 100 years ago at Paris 1924 that Polish athletes first competed at the Olympic Games.
What We Know: It's Open to the Public, Athletes and VIPs
Maison Polonaise will be open to the public, although with limited capacity. Polish athletes and dignitaries will also be hosted at the venue.
Poland House will also act as the backdrop for showcasing Poland's Olympic bid for 2036.
The official opening dates or hours of the Poland House have yet to be announced. It is still unclear if access will require paid tickets.

Polish National House is located in the "South West" cluster of Paris 2024 Hospitality Houses. Deutsches Haus, Team GB House and Casa Italia are the closest venues hosted by other national Olympic committees.
