January News Roundup: Canada, Czechia, Denmark and France

With less than six months to go, here's a roundup of fresh news surrounding Hospitality Houses at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Canada: Canada Olympic House

At the end of November, the Canadian Olympic Committee officially announced the location of Canada Olympic House at Paris 2024: La Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, in Parc de la Villette.

Fans will have to wait a little longer for additional information about this Hospitality House: details about tickets, food and beverage offerings, and interactive programming will be announced sometime in "early 2024".

Czechia: Czech House

Through information released through the Czech Olympic Committee, it has been confirmed that Czech House will be back for another edition at Paris 2024.

It is believed that the Czech House will be located in Parc de la Villette, in the "North East Cluster", alongside many other National Hospitality Houses.

Denmark: Danish Pavillion

Through an open call for sound artists by the Danish Sports Federation (DIF), it has been confirmed that a Danish Pavillion will be open for 17 days, the duration of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

While not confirmed by the DIF, it would appear that the Hospitality House will be located behind La Maison du Danemark on the Champs-Élysées, in partnership with the Danish Church Frederikskirken.

France: Club France

Through various French media outlets, Ile-de-France Regional Olympic and Sports Committee (CROS Ile-de-France) has released additional planning details about Club France at Paris 2024:

  • 25,000 fans are expected to pass through Club France every day during Paris 2024, totalling over 700,000 visitors between the Opening and Closing Ceremonies

  • A digital registration process will be required in advance of entering the venue, for safety and security reasons

  • The entrance price for non-premium zones will be between €2 and €5 per person for the Olympic Games, and free for the Paralympic Games

  • There will be an outdoor space with large viewing screens; and an indoor space that includes a partner zone, media zone and an experiential zone

  • Food trucks will be present to feed the thousands of visitors expected on a daily basis

In total, a budget of €12 million is allocated for the operation of Club France at Paris 2024.
