Sweden Arena: 5 Things We Know So Far

The Swedish Olympic Committee (SOC) is the latest to announce their plans for a hospitality house, called Sweden Arena, at Paris 2024.

What We Know: Location

Sweden Arena will be located in the MOB Hotel, in a northern suburb of Paris called Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine. The MOB Hotel describes itself as a "cooperative movement" that has multiple offerings for its guests: accommodation, outdoor spaces, a cantina and other cultural experiences.

The MOB Hotel appears to operate several locations around the world, including Lyon, Cannes, Bordeaux, Washington DC and Los Angeles.

What We Know: It's Public

The Sweden Arena website notes that its hospitality house will be...

... The home away from home for Swedish Olympians, Swedish fans and fans of Sweden. We want to take all the great things about Sweden and mix it with viewing parties, athletes, food, seminars, media, Team SWE press conferences, inspiring lectures and guests. Swedish companies and partners will be able to engage and inspire customers and visitors - all with ‘Sweden’ at their heart.

This leads us to believe that Sweden Arena will be open to the public, however, it is still unknown if tickets will be required.

What We Know: Nearby Sport Events

The closest Paris 2024 sport events to Sweden Arena will be:

• Artistic Swimming, Diving and Water Polo at Centre Aquatique Olympique

• Athletics and Rugby at Stade de France

All of these venues are within 25 minutes of Sweden Arena on public transit.

What We Know: Nearby Hospitality Houses

Casa Brasil (hosted by the Brazilian Olympic Committee) and Club France (hosted by Ile-de-France Regional Olympic and Sports Committee) are the closest confirmed hospitality houses to Sweden Arena. Both of these houses will be located at Parc de la Villette, 30 minutes east of the MOB Hotel via transit.
