In mid-March, the President of the of the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), Paulo Wanderly Teixeira, made a trip to Paris to announce key details about Casa Brasil at Paris 2024.
What We Know: Location
Parc de la Villette will play host to Brazil's Hospitality House at Paris 2024, known as "Casa Brasil".
Parc de la Villette is located in northern Paris, in the 19th arrondissement. It's the 3rd-largest park in the city, totalling a whopping 55.5 hectares and is known as the largest deconstructed building in the world.
According to the latest press release by the COB, Casa Brasil will cover over 20,000 sqft, over two levels.
What We Know: It's Public and Free
Casa Brasil will be designed with the public in mind: it will have the capacity to receive 2,500 guests at any given time. And the best part - admission will be free!
The house will include the following spaces: a stage for concerts, key exhibitions, gastronomy, a VIP room, an area for sponsor activations and a shop with licensed Team Brasil merchandise.
What We Know: It's Inspired by Oscar Niemeyer
In the COB press release, it's noted that the design of Casa Brasil is inspired by superstar Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer.
“Casa Brasil is already part of the Olympic atmosphere and this space will be the main point of contact between athletes, medalists and the public from all over the world. The idea is not just to be a sports venue, but to show cultural and artistic values of our country."

Two agencies, EA and MChecon, will be responsible for bringing the project to life. Notably, MChecon has worked on multiple other activations for past Olympiads.

The closest Paris 2024 sport events to Casa Brasil will be:
Badminton and Rhythmic Gymnastics at La Chapelle Arena
Artistic Swimming, Diving and Water Polo at at Centre Aquatique Olympique
Athletics and Rugby at Stade de France
All of these venues are within 40 minutes of Casa Brasil on public transit.
What We Know: Nearby Hospitality Houses
Club France will also be located within Parc de la Villette, a short walk away from Casa Brasil.
Sweden Arena, hosted by the Swedish Olympic Committee, is the next closest confirmed hospitality house to Casa Brasil. Sweden Arena will be located at MOB Hotel, 30 minutes west of Parc de la Villette via transit.
It's also been rumoured that Canada Olympic House will also be located in Parc de la Villette, but this is yet to be confirmed.
