Team Ireland Supporters' House: 5 Things We Know So Far

In mid-March, the Olympic Federation of Ireland (OFI) announced their plans for an Irish hospitality house, called the Team Ireland Supporters' House, at Paris 2024.

What We Know: Location

Team Ireland Supporters' House is being brought to life in partnership with the O’Sullivan Group and the Centre Culturel Irlandais (Irish Cultural Centre). It will be located at O’Sullivans By The Mill in Pigalle, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.

Pigalle is located at the foot of the Montmartre and it's most notable attraction is the Moulin Rouge - which happens to be located right next door to O’Sullivans By The Mill. (Sounds like quite the party venue to us!)

The O'Sullivan Group operates a total of 25 venues across France.

What We Know: It's Public

In the press release, the OFI notes,

The Paris-based O’Sullivan Group will play a key role in hosting and entertaining Irish fans who will be visiting the French capital to enjoy and support the Games. The official Team Ireland Supporter’s House is in ‘O’Sullivans By The Mill’, beside the famous Moulin Rouge. Offering live Games action focused on Irish interest, this venue will feature live music and entertainment acts during the Games period and caters for 950 supporters.

This leads us to believe that Team Ireland Supporters' House will be open to the public, however, it is still unknown if tickets will be required.

What We Know: There's also a Private Family House

In addition to Team Ireland Supporters' House at O'Sullivans By The Mill, the Olympic Federation of Ireland will be hosting athletes, parents and families at another O'Sullivan Group venue, O’Sullivan’s Franklin D Roosevelt, for the duration of Paris 2024:

For the parents and families who will be travelling, a focused experience package will also be available in the mornings and afternoons, with the Team Ireland Family House confirmed as O’Sullivan’s Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR)’. Situated near the Champs Élysées, this venue will provide a morning and afternoon meeting point with the opportunity to provide support and assistance to athletes’ families.

What We Know: Nearby Sport Events

The closest Paris 2024 sport events to Team Ireland Supporters' House will be:

• BMX Freestyle, Skateboarding, Breaking, 3x3 Basketball at Place de la Concorde

• Fencing and Taekwondo at Grand Palais

• Archery, Athletics and Road Cycling at Invalides

All of these venues are within 20 minutes of Team Ireland Supporters' House on public transit.

What We Know: Nearby Hospitality Houses

Team USA House (hosted by the USOPC) and Lotto Belgium House (hosted by the Belgian Interfederal Olympic Committee) are the closest confirmed hospitality houses to Team Ireland Supporters' House.

Both are located within 20 minutes of O'Sullivans By The Mill via transit.
