With 14 months to go, here's a roundup of fresh news surrounding Hospitality Houses at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Austria: Austria House

In a recent press release from the Austrian Olympic Committee (ÖOC), the Secretary General Peter Mennel states,

"Ob’s in der französischen Millionen-Metropole ein „Austria House“ geben wird, ist aktuell noch nicht entschieden. „Wir werden uns in keinem Fall auf finanzielle Abenteuer einlassen. Andernfalls wird es das Austria House auch in Paris eben nur in digitaler Form geben. Das hat sich in Tokio und Peking durchaus bewährt.“

Translated:

"Whether there will be an 'Austria House' in the French metropolis has not yet been decided. Under no circumstances will we embark on financial adventures. Otherwise, the Austria House will only be available in digital form in Paris. That definitely proved its worth in Tokyo and Beijing.”

Canada: Canada Olympic House

This month, the Canadian Olympic Committee launched a call for volunteers for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The deadline to apply is Friday May 5, 2023.

Italy: Casa Italia

Watch this space! The Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) delivered this press release on April 20, 2023:

"In vista dei prossimi Giochi Olimpici e Paralimpici di Parigi 2024, l’ambasciatore d’Italia in Francia, Emanuela D’Alessandro, e il presidente del CONI, Giovanni Malagò, terranno una conferenza stampa di presentazione di “Casa Italia”. L'appuntamento è per sabato 13 maggio, alle ore 11.30, in ambasciata d’Italia a Parigi - 47, rue de Varenne - 75007 Paris."

Translated:

"In view of the next Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris 2024, the Italian ambassador in France, Emanuela D'Alessandro, and the president of CONI, Giovanni Malagò, will hold a press conference to present "Casa Italia". The appointment is for Saturday 13 May, at 11.30, at the Italian Embassy in Paris - 47, rue de Varenne - 75007 Paris."

Netherlands: TeamNL House

The Dutch Olympic Committee*Dutch Sports Federation (NOC*NSF) has formally announced the end of their partnership with Heineken. In Paris 2024, they will independently run the Dutch hospitality house, now called "TeamNL House".

The NOC*NSF intends to welcome 4,500 guests to TeamNL House per day and retain much of the programming that made Holland Heineken House famous.

A location for TeamNL House in Paris has yet to be announced.

Sweden: Sweden Arena

The Swedish Olympic Committee (SOC) is the latest to announce their plans for a hospitality house, called Sweden Arena, at Paris 2024.

USA: Team USA House

Big news in the Hospitality House world: the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) has announced their plans for Team USA House at Paris 2024.
